Lisl Moyer

Lisl Moyer

Executive Director
Lisl is a New Orleans native who grew up in Abita Springs and graduated from St. Scholastica Academy in Covington in 1984. She received her degree in Public Relations from the American University in Washington, DC. She has been a non-profit executive or worked with non-profits for more than 30 years. After serving in the roles of Executive Event Planner for her own company in Annapolis, MD, and Executive Director of a non-profit trade association in Houston, TX, Lisl moved back to the Northshore in 2015 and became the Director of Marketing for an established business in New Orleans that has a location in historic Covington. She competed as an equestrian in her youth and loves being around horses once again. Lisl and her husband, Bill, have three children.

PATH Certified Instructor
Vicki joined the staff of New Heights in spring of 2016. Before joining the staff, Vicki was a volunteer at New Heights for almost 5 years. She has a Bachelor's Degree from Florida State University in Early Childhood Education and spent almost 20 years teaching elementary school. She combines these attributes here at New Heights to train, coordinate and support our volunteers who are the lifeblood of our program. Vicki is a PATH International certified instructor and is certified in CPR, first aid, and mental health first aid. Vicki is also a PATH certified mentor.
Kim Clinard

Kim Clinard

Operations Manager
Kim joined New Heights in 2009 as the Operations Manager. She spent 25 years in the auto industry in the accounting field. Kim lives in Slidell with her husband, Dean, and is the mother of four children, four dogs, three turtles and a kitten. Needless to say, Kim is an animal lover and is thrilled to work just steps away from our herd of heros.
Debbie Bressler

Debbie L. Bresler, M.ED.

Events & Marketing Consultant
Debbie joined the New Heights team in 2016 as our Events, and Marketing Consultant. She has worked with start-up non-profit organizations including The Louisiana Nature Center, The Audubon Zoo, and The Louisiana Children’s Museum in New Orleans. Debbie has served on the board of directors for Jewish Family Services, St. Tammany Tourist Commission, Boys Town Louisiana, and Family Promise of St. Tammany. She worked with the Youth Service Bureau in St. Tammany for twenty plus years as the coordinator of Chef Soirée. She currently serves on the advisory board for Family Promise of St. Tammany and The Ruby Bridges Foundation. Debbie continues to coordinates Go 4th on the River, the annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration and A NOLA New Year’s Eve, New Orleans’ traditional New Year’s Eve fireworks celebration along the historic New Orleans Riverfront in the French Quarter.

Marie Dyer Crockett

Communications & Volunteer Coordinator
Marie came to New Heights in Fall 2019. Marie runs New Heights social media accounts, website and is our photographer. Marie also works as the Communications Director for Calvary Pentecostal Church in Hammond. She lives in Hammond, with her husband, Alan, and their dog, Lily. The couple is expecting their first child in March, a little girl to be named Marcia Lee Crockett.

Clare Hansen

Clare Hansen

PATH Certified Instructor
Clare came to the USA from England in 1992. She began volunteering at a therapeutic riding center in the Kiln, MS before becoming a Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor in 1996 and an Advanced Therapeutic Riding Instructor in 2005. The center closed in 2015 due to lack of funding. She and her husband both volunteered with the equestrian Paralympics in Atlanta and Sydney.
Jason Austin

Jason Austin

Grounds & Facility Manager
Jason is a 19 year Army Veteran, medically retired after being critically wounded in Iraq in 2007 by a Improvised Explosive Device (IED). Jason spent 900 + days in hospitals, where he underwent 4 surgeries. In 2010 Jason retired and was awarded the Purple Heart for his injuries sustained in combat. In 2014 Jason was a participant in the New Heights Veterans Program. Upon completion he returned as a volunteer. Jason joined the New Heights staff in 2016. Jason also works as an advisor for our Veterans programs.  The property has never looked better.
Paul Fernandez

Paul Fernandez

Grounds Assistant
Paul was born in New Orleans and grew up in Mandeville. After graduating from Mandeville High in 1998, he joined the Marines and served until 2001. He graduated second in his class at Blue Cliff College in Massage Therapy in  2007. In 2016, he went through two of New Heights Veterans Programs and volunteered throughout them. In 2017, he was officially hired onto the New Heights staff. He is thankful for the opportunity to work at New Heights, he says that his work is therapeutic for him.  
Melisa Taylor

Barn & Herd Care Coordinator
 Melissa grew up around horses in Folsom, raising racehorses and hunter jumpers. She has two children, a boy and a girl. She started at New Heights in the summer of 2019. She loves horses and the peace that she gets from working with them. 
Lindsey Bouvier

Lindsey Bouvier

Barn & Herd Care Assistant
Lindsey has grown up around horses her entire life. She is an accomplished barrel racer. Lindsey started volunteering with New Heights in the summer of 2019. After two days she decided she wanted to work here and was hired on shortly after! At New Heights, Lindsey helps take care of our herd, whether it be feeding or cleaning the barn.  She also helps a lot during lessons and works close with our human trafficking group.

Amy was born in Kentucky but moved around a lot until joining the Army in 1990. She served until 1994. In 2018, she went through New Heights Veterans Program. She immediately started volunteering! Amy was hired on the staff in the spring of 2019. She absolutely loves working at New Heights! She says that New Heights does more for her than she could ever do for them.

New Heights Therapeutic Riding is a 501(c)(3) non-profit located in Folsom, Louisiana right outside of New Orleans. We help people who have physical, cognitive, and emotional difficulties reach their full potential through equine therapy.
